Darcie Odom is an artist, activist, curator and mystic. Beginning to win awards for her art as a young child, her skills in drawing, painting, jewelry and metal-working eventually led to a scholarship at the Columbus College of Art & Design, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art. While attending art school, Darcie strengthened her practice in yoga, began to study meditation with a local Buddhist monastery, and had the opportunity to work with and study under a handful world-renowned artists. Her appreciation and resonance with the Eastern traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism are major influences in her oil paintings. Extensive study of these and other traditions, as well as the modalities of color psychology, color magic, and color healing inform her work. Years of work with numerous nonprofit, human and animal rights organizations, and socially and environmentally ethical companies have opened her eyes to the great needs of our time, having a great influence in her work, as well.
Darcie is the Art Curator and Gallery Manager at Mystic Journey in Los Angeles, CA.
